This vintage Navajo cuff features three turquoise stones, set in handmade bezels, placed in a shadow box and accented with drops and hand stamps.
The design is truly one of a kind, with stamps of mountains and sunrises. But the best part of this cuff are the fishtail terminals that are accented with air bubbles. The artist clearly was thinking about fishing in a mountain stream when this bracelet was created.
I bought this piece in the 80’s and it was already a pre-worn bracelet. The surface cracks, emanating from the matrix in the stones, were there when I purchased it and the stones are still secure and tight in the settings. The cracks are clearly visible in the photographs. The lower price reflects the cracks in the stones.
