This is a rare, Reveriano Castillo link bracelet, with 7 identical panels. Made in the MCM style that made Taxco silversmiths popular, it has a wonderful mid-century design that is still relevant today.
It's in very good condition with a great patina. Closes with a secure box clasp and has the original safety chain. Wearable length of 6 5/8", so it is for a smaller wrist. 5/8" in width. 38.3 grams in weight. Marked R inside of a larger C, sterling, Taxco, eagle 3 (unreadable on the lozenge) and the #1, which may be the design or inventory number. This piece would be dated 1952 and after, according to the hallmark (ref: Bille Hougart).
Reveriano Castillo started as an apprentice with William Spratling in 1934. Started his own store in 1952, called Reveri, and worked with his wife, Maria. I see the influence of Spratling in this piece.
