Two American brothers opened a drug store in Mexico City, in about 1909, which became a department store. At one point, the master designer and silversmith, Frederick Davis, supervised the jewelry and fine arts department.
This piece is 1 5/8" in width. The inside measures 6.5" with a 7/8" gap, for a total of just under 7.5". The piece is slightly out of round, which you can see the 5th photo. Signed Sanborns, Mexico and Sterling.
