This piece is from the well known Taxco artist and master silversmith, Sigi Pineda. An exceptional example of the Modernist style that made Taxco famous. He made this piece with different stones. This one has jadite. The sterling is oxidized around the frame of the stone and the stone seems suspended in air. Closes with a tight tongue in grove/hinge clasp. This bangle is in excellent condition and only needs a light cleaning.
Singed with the Sigi twin bubble, Sigi and Taxco, the piece is also stamped 34, Hecho en Mexico, Sterling and has a eagle, with most likely, the number 36. 67.5 grams.
This bracelet is 7" around the inside and is made to fit like a bangle.
It is 1 3/8" at its widest. It would be a good fit for a 6.75" wrist, or somewhere around there, depending on how loose you like your bangles.
